With the adoption of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) the City of Richmond is issuing a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the allocation of $2,683,549 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), $1,351,959 in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) and $194,445 in Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA). In addition, The City's Administration is recommending the City Council approve an additional $1,000,000 in FY20 Affordable Housing Trust Funds to address the immediate need for new permanent supportive and affordable housing units.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) (Public Law , makes available $5 billion in supplemental Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for grants to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus (CDBG-CV grants).
